Managed Authoritative DNS Terms
Managed Authoritative DNS Terms
Draft updated: October 17, 2026
Commercial opening incomplete: withdrawal and termination flows, durable confirmations and compliant invoicing remain to be completed or verified in real use. The consumer mediator is designated below. The information below is not evidence that the commercial functions are deployed. Existing legacy arrangements are not changed until customers receive the applicable notice.
The service provider is MAIKO BOSSUYT, entrepreneur individuel (EI), SIREN 834180911, 8 Rue Vasco de Gama, 77700 Serris, France. Telephone: +33 7 83 68 55 80. Contact email addresses are listed in Section 10. For future purchases through Paddle, the purchase contract with Paddle as reseller and Merchant of Record must be distinguished from these service terms. The allocation of obligations, confirmations and remedies remains to be finalised before opening; this preparation does not replace any accepted historical terms.
1. Service
The v2 managed service supports:
- primary zones managed through the portal or API;
- secondary zones pulled from the customer’s primary through TSIG-authenticated AXFR or IXFR;
- DNSSEC signing when deployed and activated for the zone; and
- plan-dependent history, automation, team and security controls.
TSIG authenticates zone transfers but does not encrypt standard AXFR or IXFR traffic. The service is best effort unless a separate written SLA says otherwise.
2. Plans and monthly prices
| Plan | Managed authoritative zones | Secondary zones | Monthly price — France reference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 2 | 5 | €0 |
| Hobby | 5 | 10 | €2.39 incl. tax Base €1.99 before tax |
| Pro | 15 | 30 | €5.99 incl. tax Base €4.99 before tax |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | Unlimited | €35.99 incl. tax Base €29.99 before tax |
France consumer reference (75001), in EUR, without a discount or business tax exemption. The final total depends on buyer details confirmed by Paddle before payment. Estimate for your country. Live checkout is not open during qualification.
New paid plans are being prepared for monthly renewal through Paddle; live sales remain closed. Pro and Enterprise carry a Plesk pilot preview allocation, but payment does not activate it; the integration remains unavailable until server-side enrollment, external acceptance and explicit installation admission. “Unlimited” in this table applies only to Enterprise authoritative and secondary zone counts; other resources retain finite technical and abuse controls.
The prepared pricing policy preserves the listed secondary amounts as monthly bases before tax, with France consumer reference totals shown first. Paddle must show applicable taxes and the final total before the customer commits to payment, using the actual buyer details. The operator’s French small-business exemption under Article 293 B concerns the individual business and does not extend to Paddle’s sales: it does not justify forcing buyer tax to zero or an exemption statement on a Paddle-issued invoice. Actual tax and document journey qualification remains open. Paddle will issue invoices for its new sales; the le_dns archive separately retains available historical documents. A payment record is not a compliant invoice.
3. Customer responsibilities
Customers must:
- control or be authorized to manage each registered domain;
- keep account, API and TSIG credentials confidential;
- keep primary servers reachable and increment the SOA serial for secondary zones;
- maintain independent copies of zone data;
- keep contact and billing information accurate; and
- not use the service for phishing, malware, CSAM, spam infrastructure, attacks or unlawful activity.
4. Plan enforcement
Primary and secondary limits are enforced independently when new zones are created. Paid-only API and portal controls are authorized server-side.
If a plan ends while the account is above Free limits, existing zones are not deleted and DNS answers are not changed. Additional zone creation and paid-only controls can remain unavailable until usage is reduced or a paid plan is restored.
5. Billing and cancellation
- Free requires no payment method.
- New paid checkout and recurring payments are being prepared through Paddle as reseller and Merchant of Record, responsible for applicable buyer taxes and invoices. The active Mollie engine is retired in this new implementation; historical evidence and obligations are retained. Live sales remain closed.
- Customers can cancel through the account billing interface.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
- For ordinary non-renewal, any monthly billing period already started is payable in full, with no prorated refund; access remains available until that paid period ends. This rule does not limit statutory withdrawal, applicable early-termination rights, or legally required refunds and remedies.
- A failed recurring payment receives a seven-day grace period. Existing DNS and recovery remain available, while new paid-only objects, authority, automation and scheduled monitoring pause immediately.
- After the paid period or grace period, the account returns to Free.
le_dns does not park domains, inject advertising, redirect DNS answers or delete zones because of cancellation or payment failure.
Consumer rights and incomplete purchase functions
These terms do not exclude consumers. The paid subscription provides a continuous service, billed in monthly periods and renewed until stopped. Choosing not to renew leaves the paid period running; it is neither withdrawal nor a waiver of statutory remedies for failure to supply or lack of conformity.
For new purchases through Paddle, the purchase agreement is with Paddle under its Buyer Terms; these service terms still govern your use of le_dns. Purchase withdrawal and refund requests follow Paddle’s Refund Policy. Neither arrangement removes mandatory rights against the relevant professional or changes an accepted historical contract.
Where distance-selling rules apply, you may withdraw without giving a reason within fourteen days after entering into the service contract. Before the deadline, send the form below or another clear statement of your decision to legal@ledns.eu or the operator’s postal address. Keep a copy. Using this form and explaining your reason are not mandatory.
Starting before that period ends requires your express request. DNS activation alone does not remove withdrawal rights. If the required information and express request were obtained, the service actually provided before your notification may be charged proportionately to the agreed price. Without either prerequisite, that charge is not due. See Article L221-25.
For a payment collected by Paddle, Paddle issues the transaction refund; le_dns does not pay it directly or issue a replacement buyer invoice. This follows Paddle’s supplier agreement, section 10.1. Mandatory reimbursement rights and deadlines remain applicable, including Article L221-24. The service information above does not authorise a deduction contrary to those rights or Paddle’s applicable policy.
For new online consumer contracts governed by the rules effective from 19 June 2026, a free online withdrawal function must be available throughout the applicable period, with acknowledgement on a durable medium. This page does not establish that function’s availability or operation in production. The renewal-stop button does not replace it; email and postal notice remain usable.
Paddle’s withdrawal instructions describe a withdrawal option for eligible EU purchases in its customer portal. Reach it from your purchase confirmation or Paddle’s buyer-support site. Its availability for the configured le_dns offer and its durable acknowledgement still require verification before opening. You may also contact le_dns for help identifying your purchase; the service form below is not an instruction to request two refunds.
Other termination rights remain unaffected. Where Article L224-25-9 applies without, or after, a minimum performance period, termination notice cannot exceed ten days after receipt unless the consumer chooses a later date. You may send that request to support@ledns.eu; the non-renewal flow does not restrict this right. See Article L224-25-9.
Withdrawal form — service contract
Use this only to withdraw, not to stop the next renewal. This service-specific form follows the fields of the regulatory model.
Recipient: MAIKO BOSSUYT EI — le_dns, 8 Rue Vasco de Gama, 77700 Serris, France; legal@ledns.eu.
I declare that I am exercising withdrawal rights for this service: …
Order date: …
Consumer name(s) and postal address(es): …
Date of this notice: …
Signature, for paper notices only: …
The contract reference and account email can help identify it; neither is an additional condition for exercising withdrawal rights.
Confirmation and mediation
The final purchase flow must show the essential service details, total price, duration and payment obligation, and deliver the contract confirmation on a durable medium. Termination must also receive a durable confirmation of its effective date and effects. Technical preparation of these confirmations is not evidence of receipt in production. Compliant invoices remain a separate work item.
For a consumer dispute with MAIKO BOSSUYT EI concerning le_dns, first send a written complaint to support@ledns.eu or the business address above. If the dispute remains unresolved, you may refer it free of charge to CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, within one year of that complaint and subject to its admissibility requirements:
- Postal address: CM2C, 49 Rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France.
- Website and online referral: cm2c.net — submit a dispute.
- Referral email: declarer-un-litige@cm2c.net.
CM2C’s referral instructions explain the supporting documents required; the operator’s SIREN is 834180911. Mediation is optional and does not remove your right to go to court. This designation concerns disputes with the le_dns operator; it does not represent CM2C as Paddle’s mediator or replace remedies under the purchase agreement with Paddle.
See French Consumer Code Article L221-21 and the online withdrawal requirements.
6. Suspension
le_dns may restrict an account or zone to contain abuse, protect the service, comply with a valid legal order or address a material breach. Where immediate action is not required for safety or law, reasonable notice and an opportunity to correct the issue will be provided.
Billing downgrade is not an abuse suspension and follows Section 5.
7. Data, export and deletion
Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy and the draft Data Processing Agreement. Prepared v2 code provides for a restricted archive without TSIG secrets and purge eligibility after thirty days. That preparation proves neither migration deployment nor erasure of every production copy, including backups. No thirty-day maximum is therefore promised for the currently deployed service. Customers can request erasure review through privacy@ledns.eu.
The service does not promise a complete automated export until a documented export endpoint is deployed. Customers remain responsible for keeping their source zone data.
8. Price and term changes
Material pricing changes affecting an existing paid renewal will be announced at least 30 days before they apply. Changes do not alter a period already paid for. Where mandatory law requires consent or additional notice, that law controls.
9. Liability and law
No availability SLA or additional commercial warranty is offered unless agreed separately in writing. This does not limit le_dns’s legal obligations or the customer’s mandatory warranties and remedies.
Statutory guarantees for a continuously supplied digital service
For the paid consumer contract to host and manage DNS data covered here, the information below concerns continuous digital supply: each subscribed monthly period, extended by renewals, until contractual supply effectively ends. It is not a commercial uptime warranty or a general two-year limit. Mandatory protections remain applicable if a different legal classification is established.
The box below is an English translation of the French regulatory wording in the Annex to Article D211-4, with the supply periods filled in as provided by that model. It is not an official translation. The French version of these terms contains the French wording. To invoke these guarantees, contact support@ledns.eu or the operator’s postal address.
Statutory guarantees — continuous supply
The consumer is entitled to invoke the statutory guarantee of conformity if a lack of conformity appears during a period of one month, extended upon each monthly renewal until contractual supply effectively ends, starting from the supply of the digital content or digital service. During that period, the consumer is required to establish only the existence of the lack of conformity, not the date on which it appeared.
The statutory guarantee of conformity entails an obligation to provide all updates necessary to maintain the conformity of the digital content or digital service for one month, extended upon each monthly renewal until contractual supply effectively ends.
The statutory guarantee of conformity entitles the consumer to have the digital content or digital service brought into conformity without undue delay following their request, free of charge and without significant inconvenience to them.
The consumer may obtain a price reduction while keeping the digital content or digital service, or may terminate the contract and obtain a full refund in return for giving up the digital content or digital service, if:
The professional refuses to bring the digital content or digital service into conformity;
Bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity is unjustifiably delayed;
The digital content or digital service cannot be brought into conformity without costs being imposed on the consumer;
Bringing the digital content or digital service into conformity causes significant inconvenience to the consumer;
The digital content or digital service remains non-conforming despite the professional’s unsuccessful attempt to bring it into conformity.
The consumer is also entitled to a price reduction or termination of the contract where the lack of conformity is so serious that it justifies an immediate price reduction or termination. The consumer is then not required to request that the digital content or digital service be brought into conformity beforehand.
Where the lack of conformity is minor, the consumer is entitled to cancellation of the contract only if the contract does not provide for payment of a price.
Any period during which the digital content or digital service is unavailable while being brought into conformity suspends the remaining guarantee period until the digital content or digital service is supplied in conformity again.
These rights arise from Articles L. 224-25-1 to L. 224-25-31 of the French Consumer Code.
A professional who obstructs implementation of the statutory guarantee of conformity in bad faith is liable to a civil fine of up to 300,000 euros, which may be increased to 10% of average annual turnover (Article L. 242-18-1 of the French Consumer Code).
The consumer also benefits from the statutory guarantee against hidden defects under Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code, for two years from discovery of the defect. This guarantee entitles the consumer to a price reduction if the digital content or digital service is retained, or to a full refund in return for giving up the digital content or digital service.
For continuous supply, reimbursement takes account notably of the non-conforming period and amounts relating to the remaining period; termination does not automatically make every earlier conforming period free. Legally due refunds are made within fourteen days after notification of the remedy, without fees, using the original payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise. The consumer’s content-recovery rights remain protected. References: L224-25-22 and L224-25-23.
Remedies for failure to supply and any right to damages also remain available. French law applies without removing the consumer’s mandatory protections. Court competence remains subject to mandatory procedural and consumer-protection rules; no exclusive court is imposed here.
