Legal Notices

Draft updated: October 17, 2026

Publication details incomplete: the operator’s identity, contact details, French VAT exemption and consumer mediator are set out below. The actual website host and the consumer-information and billing functions described in the managed-DNS terms still require completion before commercial opening.

Publisher and publication director

MAIKO BOSSUYT
SIREN confirmed by the operator: 834180911
Legal status: Entrepreneur individuel (EI)
Service name: le_dns
Business address: 8 Rue Vasco de Gama, 77700 Serris, France
Telephone: +33 7 83 68 55 80
VAT status: French small-business VAT exemption — TVA non applicable, article 293 B du CGI
Email: legal@ledns.eu

The identity, professional contact details and VAT status were confirmed by the operator; the official business-register lookup confirms the individual-entrepreneur category. The actual website host and its contact telephone must still be confirmed before this notice is finalised.

This exemption concerns the individual business. For the planned sales through Paddle, Paddle acts as reseller and Merchant of Record and applies the taxes due on its sale to the buyer. The operator’s exemption therefore does not exempt a Paddle-issued buyer invoice from VAT. This migration is in preparation; live sales remain closed.

Hosting and service providers

In the production snapshot inspected on 2026-08-29, the DNS fleet and website used IaaS capacity from:

That dated snapshot does not prove the current deployed inventory or contracts; reverify both before publication. Hetzner is not represented as an active provider without deployment evidence. Paddle is the intended reseller and Merchant of Record for new v2 sales. Its contracting entity, commercial documents and tax journey require verification before opening; live sales remain closed. Historical sales evidence and obligations remain separate. The homepage also loads a GitHub Sponsors embed. Data-processing details are in the Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property and software licence

le_dns names, site copy and original visual assets remain protected unless a separate licence says otherwise. The software repository is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0; copying, modifying and distributing covered source is permitted under that licence’s conditions. The blanket prohibition previously applied to source code was incorrect.

Third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners.

Cookies

The management portal uses a strictly necessary Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict session cookie with an eight-hour default lifetime. The website does not use first-party advertising cookies. The GitHub Sponsors embed makes a request to GitHub and is disclosed in the Privacy Policy.

Service and pricing

The public resolver is provided free of charge on a best-effort basis. Managed authoritative DNS has Free, Hobby, Pro and Enterprise v2 launch plans described on the pricing page. New monthly subscriptions are being prepared through Paddle; live sales remain closed during qualification.

Billing status never redirects, parks or monetizes customer DNS answers.

Applicable documents

Consumer withdrawal, durable contract and cancellation confirmations, compliant invoices and applicable VAT information remain to be completed or verified before commercial opening. These are specific information and implementation requirements; this draft is not a certification of compliance.

Consumer mediation

The consumer mediator designated by MAIKO BOSSUYT EI for le_dns is CM2C — Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice.

If a consumer dispute remains unresolved after a written complaint to support@ledns.eu or the business address above, you may refer it to CM2C free of charge, subject to its admissibility requirements:

Refer the dispute within one year of your written complaint. CM2C’s referral instructions explain the supporting documents required; the operator’s SIREN is 834180911. Mediation is optional and does not remove your right to go to court.

This designation concerns disputes with the le_dns operator. Purchase terms and remedies against Paddle as Merchant of Record remain separate; CM2C is not represented as Paddle’s mediator.

Liability and governing law

Service-specific availability, acceptable-use, suspension and liability provisions belong in the applicable terms. Any limitation of liability or jurisdiction clause applies only to the extent permitted by mandatory French and EU law, including consumer law where applicable.

French law is intended to govern the service. The competent court must be determined under applicable procedural and consumer-protection rules; this notice does not impose an unreviewed exclusive-jurisdiction clause.
