iPhone and iPad DNS Setup
Encrypted DNS requires a trusted app or reviewed profile
Per-network classic DNS
Wi-Fi DNS settings can use the three classic resolver addresses:
51.75.96.8251.89.95.33151.115.80.165
This setting applies only to that Wi-Fi network and is not encrypted.
Encrypted DNS
iOS and iPadOS support encrypted DNS through configuration profiles and approved Network Extension applications. le_dns does not currently publish a first-party signed profile, so this guide does not ask users to install a profile generated by an unrelated website.
If you build or audit a profile yourself, use:
- DoH:
https://website-xnqsyvgcprzaash17upkc5cd.DE-FRA-COG.ledns.infra.rqsco.cloud/dns-query; or - DoT hostname:
ledns.eu.
Review the complete profile payload and signer before installation. Remove it from Settings → General → VPN & Device Management if the source can no longer be trusted.
Verify
Resolve a new hostname after enabling the configuration. DNS leak-test provider names are indicative only; they may show the hosting network rather than ledns.eu.
